Breezy or Breeze was an Appendix mare. Long and lanky with just the attitude that a good looking girl needs. She came in with an old but serious injury, a broken or severely damaged withers. She could at first be ridden lightly but lately not so much as it became too painful for her. She too, was enjoying retirement.
In Memory of the 24 Horses That Perished, WI On Wednesday, November 25th, 2010 in Plymouth Township, Wisconsin, Footville Fire Chief Joe North responded to a barn fire at 8:42 am on at 927 S. Old Highway 11 at the Humane Organization Rescuing and Saving Equine, (H.O.R.S.E) a nonprofit horse rescue. 24 horses perished in the fire. This Blog site is dedicated to their memorial.
