In Memory of the 24 Horses That Perished, WI
On Wednesday, November 25th, 2010 in
Plymouth Township, Wisconsin, Footville Fire Chief Joe North responded to a barn fire at 8:42 am on at 927 S. Old Highway 11 at the Humane Organization Rescuing and Saving Equine, (H.O.R.S.E) a nonprofit horse rescue. 24 horses perished in the fire. This Blog site is dedicated to their memorial. "Frankie"
Frankie was a small QH gelding. He had some painful issues with his rear quarters and was never able to be rideable but he was a wonderful pasture-mate to the other retired horses. He had a great personality and was always ready at grain time!
